Can I display and override several layers in a single Deko object?

Override Multiple Deko Layers You can override and display the text of several layers in a dko file simultaneously by embedding the <layer/> tag in the text override or contents field of the Transition Deko editor.  Set the Selected Layer chooser to Entire Document, then use the <layer> tag to select the layer in which to place the text that follows, for example

<layer id="1"/>This text goes in layer 1<layer id="4"/>This is layer 4

This displays the entire selected dko document, with layers 1 and 4 replaced by the first and second text snippets respectively.

<layer/>
is one of the "Deko tags" - special directives that can be embedded in text override or contents text.  You can also change styles, load arbitrary dko files, or even execute arbitrary Deko macro code.  For a complete list of these tags, download Pinnacle's DekoTags example (about 120K bytes), or you can just view the readme file here directly.  The example is a self-extracting exe that creates a new DekoTags folder in C:/DekoCast/samples. This is an unsupported example created and owned by Pinnacle Systems/Avid Technology. The copy
on this site is provided for your convenience.

See the Images in a Crawl FAQ for an example of how to mix arbitrary image files and text in a crawl.
