How do I add a Capture Keyframe to an existing Action Item?
Add a Capture Keyframe
The simplest way to
add a Capture
Keyframe to an existing Action Item is to select the Action and the
Action Item, move the Timeline Thumb to the time where you want the
Capture Keyframe to appear, then click the Keyframe Menu button and select the "Add
Capture Keyframe for Selected Parameters" item from the popup menu.
You could also add a normal keyframe, then edit it to convert it into a
Capture Keyframe:
- Select the
Action and Action Item to which you want to add the Capture Key.
- Press the
Add Keyframe button
then left-mouse
click in the Timeline
Curve pane to create a normal keyframe.
- Double-click
on the new keyframe to show the Parameter
Value Editor window.
- Click the
"Capture" radio button in the editor to convert it to a Capture Key.
- Press OK
to dismiss the editor
When you clicked
the Capture radio button, the editor displayed a list of all Parameters
in the scene. This is to select the Parameter from which to
capture the value. The Parameter to which the Action Item applies
is selected initially, but you can capture a value from any Parameter in the scene.
I'm sure there are several clever ways to use this feature.
