I just opened a scene. Why isn't it visible in the output?

Scene visibility DekoCast lets you have multiple scenes open simultaneously, and control their visibility independently.

If you've just opened a scene and it does not become visible in the DekoCast output, you probably have the Automatically Show Active Scene Exclusively preference option disabled.  Enable it, or use the scene window toolbar buttons to manually make the scene visible.

In the DekoCast 3.x GUI, every open scene has a scene window corresponding to it - that's the one filled with a solid gray-blue.  Selecting a window selects the scene, and makes all the other windows show information for that scene.  To close the scene, close the window.  The window has a toolbar whose buttons control the scene's visibility and its front-to-back order relative to any other visible scenes:

However, there's also a DekoCast Preferences setting that automatically makes whatever scene is selected the only scene visible.  Select Edit >> Preferences or Options >> Preferences menu item, then select the Video Options tab.  There's a check box that controls this setting: if checked, the scene currently selected in the GUI is made visible exclusively; if unchecked, scene visibility is controlled only by the buttons in the scene window toolbar.

Draw active scene exclusively

Usually you'd want this box checked while editing scenes in the DekoCast GUI - it just makes things easier.  However if you have the GUI open while the DekoCast is on-air, especially when it's being controlled by some automation program, you want this box unchecked - whatever is controlling the DekoCast should have sole control of scene visibility.
